The Digital Technology & Education Society (DTES) is a social entrerprise created to increase training, education and skills development opportunities while promoting community economic development on Vancouver's Eastside. We invite you to explore the benefits of our enterprise class, web-based marketing and communication solutions and make a difference at the same time. To see how easy it is to manage and maintain a 'Writeable Web' site click here.

The DTES is a new initiative of the Vancouver Native Housing Society (VNHS) The idea is simple: once people are properly housed and where needed - supported - there is one final step: Training, education, skills development and ultimately employment. The DTES is based on the principle of helping people help themselves.

VNHS is celebrating its 26th year of providing safe, secure and affordable housing to the urban Aboriginal community.  VNHS owns and manages 15 buildings on Vancouver's eastside and houses approximately 1000 people, including eight percent of Metro Vancouver's Aboriginal population.

The Vancouver Aboriginal Social Enterprise (the VASE) creates small micro-businesses to generate revenue for its core mission while creating much needed employment and skills development in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.
